Delta Introduces Seasonal Non-Stop Flights Between Palm Springs and New York

Palm Springs is set to become even more accessible to East Coast travelers this winter. Palm Springs International Airport has announced a new seasonal non-stop service to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York City, courtesy of Delta Airlines.

Beginning December 21, Delta’s Airbus A220-300 will connect the desert oasis to the bustling streets of New York with weekly flights on Saturdays. The service is scheduled to arrive at Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) at 10:50 a.m. and depart back to JFK at 12:50 p.m. This seasonal route will be available through May 3, 2025, offering a convenient and comfortable travel option for both leisure and business travelers.

The flight duration is approximately 5 hours and 45 minutes, providing a seamless journey between the two destinations. PSP Executive Director Harry Barrett Jr. expressed enthusiasm for the new route, stating, “Delta’s new service to JFK not only boosts our connectivity to the East Coast but also brings a high level of comfort and convenience to our passengers. This is a wonderful addition to our growing list of air service options.”

The launch of Delta’s service comes at a critical time, following JetBlue’s recent decision to discontinue its non-stop flights between Palm Springs and New York. With Delta stepping in, travelers can continue to enjoy direct access to the Big Apple, solidifying Palm Springs as a premier destination for East Coast visitors.

Whether you’re a New Yorker looking to escape the winter chill or a Coachella Valley local planning a city getaway, Delta’s new route offers a direct link between two of the country’s most iconic locations.
