After an almost three-year hiatus, the beloved Jackalope Ranch Bar and Grill in Indio has flung open its doors once again, this time under the stewardship of a mystery owner who has poured substantial resources into its revival, as announced by the city.
Located just off Highway 111, east of Jefferson Street, this iconic eatery had been shuttered since early 2021, but now it’s poised for a spectacular resurgence. The refurbished space, unveiled to the public this past Thursday, boasts a host of enhancements. The landscaping has been meticulously revamped, the woodwork and furniture have been lovingly refurbished, and contemporary light fixtures now grace the interior. Additionally, the restaurant has invested in new air conditioning systems, refrigeration, and top-of-the-line kitchen equipment, ensuring a dining experience that’s both comfortable and exceptional.
Jackalope Ranch General Manager Charlie Christos couldn’t hide his excitement as he welcomed patrons back, stating, “We are thrilled to reopen the doors to this beautiful dining haven and welcome back the community of Indio and the entire Coachella Valley. The city of Indio has provided monumental support throughout the process of getting reopened, and we sincerely thank the city.”
