A Spectacle of Tradition and Talent
The Morongo Band of Mission Indians proudly invites you to witness the rich tapestry of Native American culture during this remarkable gathering. Over 900 tribal dancers and 20 drum groups hailing from the United States and Canada will grace the event with their presence.
At the heart of the powwow, you’ll find Native American drummers, bird singers, and dancers showcasing their talents. Each day kicks off with a captivating Grand Entry, a mesmerizing spectacle that marks the commencement of powwow sessions. Here, dancers and drummers engage in spirited competition, demonstrating their mastery in categories such as regalia and performance. The presentation of colors adds a touch of reverence to the proceedings.
A Marketplace of Treasures
As you soak in the vibrant atmosphere, make sure to explore the marketplace, where a wealth of Native American arts and crafts await. Vendors will tempt your taste buds with tacos, tamales, frybread, and offer you the chance to acquire stunning jewelry, beadwork, pottery, clothing, and basketry.
