The Coachella Valley is ready to celebrate the 4th of July holiday with fireworks displays, live music, and family fun. Here’s a guide to some exciting events happening across the valley.

Independence Day Block Party – Indio

When/Where: 5-10 p.m. Friday, July 5, in downtown Indio

What: Indio’s free, family-friendly holiday celebration will feature a variety of fun activities. Attendees can enjoy Food Truck Fridays, carnival games, bounce houses, line dancing sessions hosted by DJ Big John of KPLM The Big 106-FM, and a performance by country artist Frank Ray at 7 p.m. The evening caps off with a patriotic drone show at 9 p.m.

Palm Desert Independence Day Celebration

When/Where: 7:30-9 p.m. Thursday, July 4, at Civic Center Park, 73-510 Fred Waring Drive

What: The festivities start at 7:30 p.m. with a free concert at the park’s amphitheater. A variety of food trucks and vendors will be available, or attendees can bring picnic dinners (no alcohol, smoking, or portable barbecues allowed). At 9 p.m., a 20-minute fireworks display synchronized to patriotic-themed songs will light up the sky, simulcast on two local radio stations.

Palm Desert Aquatic Center Fireworks Show

When/Where: Noon until the end of the fireworks show at Palm Desert Aquatic Center, 73-751 Magnesia Falls Drive

What: Enjoy a day of swimming and Fourth of July fireworks at the Palm Desert Aquatic Center. Guests can watch the City of Palm Desert’s dazzling light display from the pool, lawn, or pool deck. The center will be open from noon until the fireworks show concludes.

Rancho Mirage Agua Caliente Casinos’ Fourth of July ‘Drive-In’ Fireworks Show

When/Where: 3-9 p.m. Thursday, July 4, at Agua Caliente Casino Rancho Mirage, 32-250 Bob Hope Drive

What: Agua Caliente Casinos will host its 10th annual Fireworks Spectacular. This free, drive-in event includes live music from Eagle 106.9 and Mix 100.5. Held at the South Dirt Lot in Rancho Mirage, only 700 first-come, first-served parking spaces are available. Parking opens at 3 p.m., with the fireworks display starting at 9 p.m. Food and drink specials will be available throughout the day at the Rancho Mirage location. The Agua Caliente Casinos locations in Cathedral City and Palm Springs will also feature live music events during the holiday weekend.

Coachella Independence Day Celebration

When/Where: 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, at Bagdouma Park, 51-723 Douma St.

What: A fun-filled day for the family with games, local food and drink vendors, carnival rides, live music, and fireworks.

Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians Fourth of July Celebration

When/Where: 6:30-9 p.m. Friday, July 5, at Coachella Crossroads, 46-605 Dillon Road, Coachella

What: Enjoy a day of family fun, food, and music by DJ Chase, culminating in a firework show starting at 8:30 p.m.

Palm Springs Power Baseball Game and Fireworks

When/Where: Game starts at 6 p.m., fireworks at 9:15 p.m. Thursday, July 4, at Palm Springs Stadium, 1901 E. Baristo Road

What: Celebrate July 4 with the Palm Springs Power baseball team as they take on the PSCL All-Stars at 6 p.m. (gates open at 4:30 p.m.). After the game, a firework display will light up the night sky.
